      1. What a beautiful station! I can say this as I pass through it quite regularly (Newcastle to London St. Pancras and back). It is Victorian – all iron and glass and red brick; but mostly red brick! I always think that everyone who gets on or off at York is a student: they always look quite smart! I shall have Yorkshire tea and a slice of fruit cake! Thank you!
